Why Everyone Has A Purpose

Purpose in one’s life is important. I think without that, there is no reasoning behind life. There is nothing to justify the ends to the means. That definition of the word differs from person to person. Merriam-Webster defines purpose as a noun in two different ways,

“something set up as an object or end to be attained,’ and a” subject under discussion or action in course of execution.”

When you are working toward a goal, you have a purpose to get up in the morning, no matter how small you may think that ‘end to be attained is’. As long as you are working at it every day, you have purpose. That is what the word means.

It’s not when have gotten to that end goal. That would mean that goal is completed, therefore moving your purpose off of that and onto the next aim.

The transitive verb defines purpose as, ‘to propose as an aim to oneself.’ You see? Whatever you see fit as important enough to continue aiming towards is all the purpose you need to keep living one more day. You haven’t completed your purpose yet, so stick around and finish it. I bet you’ll feel so good, you’ll set your eyes on another target to complete.

Sometimes, remembering we have a purpose every day is tough. I know I forget often. Encouraging each other is important. You never know who might need it.

Do you know someone who needs a lift in spirit? Greeting cards are a great way to show someone you care and they matter. I just made this Printable Encouragement Greeting Card recently. Click the link if you want to check it out. It can be used as a traditional printed greeting card, or as an e-card. ( I know, everything is going digital)
